Meet Collette
Libraries are more than repositories of books
I am Collette Baldasare Jones, Librarian 3 and Branch Manager at the Atlantic County Library System. Working in diverse communities, I have seen the transformative power of access to information and education. Collette Curates is my online library: a place to share the topics and sources that come up in my work, so anyone can keep learning.
Our Mission
The Library Literacy Hub empowers individuals and communities through equitable access to literacy, technology, education, and lifelong learning opportunities. We create welcoming pathways for people of all ages to learn, connect, thrive, and achieve their personal and professional goals.
Our Vision
We envision a future where every person has the knowledge, skills, confidence, and resources to navigate an evolving world, pursue their aspirations, and contribute to a vibrant, informed, and resilient community.
Our Commitment
Through innovation, collaboration, and inclusive access, we are committed to helping every learner discover new opportunities and achieve their goals. Learn. Connect. Grow. Thrive.
Everything in one place.
Literacy extends beyond reading and writing. It includes digital, financial, information and media literacy, and the skills needed to participate fully in today's society. Health resources are shared for general information only and do not replace advice from a qualified professional.

Writing
Freewriting, the writing process, research and citation, essays, creative writing, grammar and style. Every piece of writing begins before the first word.

Reading Strategies
Research-backed strategies that turn reading into meaning and memory, plus read-alouds, storytime sheets and reading challenges for families.

Media Literacy Lab
Fact-checking, misinformation detection, evaluating sources, news literacy, understanding algorithms and civic literacy.

Digital Literacy Hub
Computer basics, internet safety, smartphone skills, AI literacy and fact-checking. Self-paced learning for every level.

Community Resource Navigator
Food, housing, employment, health services, veteran resources and disability support, all in one place. For information only, not medical advice.
